i THINK there's a way with a can or something.
Don't make 2 threads, ask all your questions on 1 thread, I don't care but some people get mad.

there isn't any reliable way to do it without a chronograph. i'd highly suggest getting one; if you play recball, its damn near as important as a mask as a piece of saftey equipment.

lol you can measure how far it is to a wall, shoot it, and then try using a stopwatch and some quick math to see how fast the fps are, but who knows how reliable that is

Yea, cause I can shoot the gun, start and stop a stopwatch in less then a second and get reliable results

here is a fomula in my manual. prolly wont help

formula to convert feet per second (ft/s) to foot lbs (force)
1 foot lbs (force) = 1.35582 Joules
1 joule = 0.737562 foot lbs (force)
1 gram = 15. 4324 Grains
1 grain = 0.000142857 lb
1lb = 7000 grains

velocity squared x projectile weight
----------------------------------
450240

velocity = ft/s (feet per second)
projectile weight = grains
therefor a paintball @ 3.2grams @ 300ft/s = 9.9 foot lbs (ftlbs)
