Yes, ABSOLUTELY. The first time I went was with my Dad, It was a BLAST. I really wouldnt recomend speedball, thats what I play now, for a bonding experience, Much to fast paced. You should definently use paintball as quality time, I always do.

I take my 12 year old daughter to field. (speedball) She loves it, and it is a good time for us. She still camps a lot so I try to get her in small games with me and a couple of friends.
If you're gonna get her into it though, go to a legit field where they have chronos. If she gets lit up by a hot gun on her first day, it could turn her off real quick. Maybe even start her with a chest protector or a thick hoody pullover.

yeah i would definatly start her off with some armor cuz she will proly get turned off about it if it hurts. i never get play paintball with my parentd cuz they think it is stupid. i have to get my grandparents to drive me to the feild. definatly play woodsball tho cuz then u cans tick together and not have to move very fastpaced. that is a good way to bond imo.

I tried to get my pops to play and the one time he gave in, there was absolutely noone at the field.
But yeah definitly go for it. It'd be great to see more female paintballers too. Just be careful, she'll get hit on a lot haha.
Anyways, I recomend the Tippmann 98 Custom to any new player. It's quality, affordable, reliable, and highly upgradeable if you get bored with it.

Wow, a father wanting to play paintball. I can never bring my dad, he simply thinks it's stupid cause whenever he drops me off, there's a bunch of fat guys running around in ghille suits etc.

A Legit field w/chornos, and maybe some xtra padding sounds like good insurance.
I found several posts on tippys for woodsball, I think they would be perfect for us.
I'm already bidding on some 98C, so don't outbid me
Thanks guys

just remember to be safe when your playing...paintball safety is really just common sense, however, many people, especially younger players dont seem to have a lot of this.
Tippmanns are great reliable guns. hope you have fun.

Exactly. You don't want to cheap out on protective gear. I would rather be safe than having a couple extra bucks in my pocket any day.
Like Brock said, Tippmanns are very reliable. Pretty much the only thing you have to do to keep them working is oil them and clean it when it's dirty. Just read the manual and it will tell you everything and you won't have a problem.
Hope you and your daughter have fun!

Whatever you do, just don't buy body armor. Its truly useless, and you and your daughter will really get made fun of, which is NOT fun. It really doesn't hurt too bad, and body armor doesn't really help much. I've had a friend pump me up with his 98c running hot, it doesn't hurt much less. Its not worth getting made fun of and spending 30 bucks. Just get good goggles. You MUST have good goggles. If you go into a game with cheap goggles, they will fog up on you. I would recommend the Proto EL Switch goggles, they're what I use and they work great for only like 30 bucks.

A teen or pre-teen male would get made fun of, that is true. However, I don't think that anyone will laugh at a young girl wanting to protect herself.
In terms of your original question, Paintball is a great family sport. You develop great team building skills, get some exercise, and face it... where else can you shoot your kids and get away with it??
I have played all my adult life and I have tried to get my son interested in paintball, but girls and his so called band get in the way.
Frankly, anything that you can do that gets you two out together and communicating is a good thing!!
Good luck, and welcome to the best sport on earth!

I need to call some fields, hopefully find one for a President's day outing
I am planning on bring her to a local shop soon, for us to pick out some goggles.
I definitely want her to have something shes comfortable in...don't want her taking them of in the field.
Do you guys think that a Long sleeve T and a camo shirt would provide enough padding?
How about gloves (she might have some mtn.bike gloves)? and maybe a neck protector?
kris, interested in your 98C...sent you a pm.
Thanks guys, keep you posted...
