17" seems a bit overkill. id recommend a 12 or 14". anything above that isnt doing anything to improve accuracy or anything and is actually making it harder to maneuver.

Yup.
16" is as far as you need and even that is debatable. 12-14 is what I like.

14''. thats all you need right there. believe it or not longer barrells do not significantly increase accuracy. if anything they increase friction causing less accurate balls. just save up like 70 and buy a mini freak kit for your spyder so you can have the perfect ball to barrell match everytime.

it is a little too long...I've actually never heard of 17 inches. I've heard of 16 and 18...

The only thing a barrel bigger than 14" does is increase the range by however many inches more than 14 it is...doesnt help accuracy..and actually increases the chances of ball breaks in the barrel ( if you are using sh*t paint ) but yea 14 definately ( 12 too )

i have a 12" but id want to go with the 14" personally i just feel that the 12" is too small but 16" = no no

Why do you say that? Do you play airball where you can use a longer barrel to your advantage and push it into your bunker, tucking you tighter in? And I believe it's a Freak Jr, not a mini freak kit. They run about 100 as well, not 70.
