very reliable, very easy to maintain. they shoot around 13bps with fast fingers...eh if youre competing in young guns tourneys or 3 man you might do okay...not great for real competetive tho

i would get an imagine. i think that if your going to spend more money then dont get a spyder. most spyders are the same mechanically

Yeah I would say that if you are going to buy an electro spyder then get the imagine... they are cheap and moderately reliable...

out of spyders get a imagine. I have one their nice. But if ur gonna be doing tourneys i recomend a high end gun or getting sum ups for ur imagine. Like a tboard, barrel, feedneck, and a drop if u want 1.
edit: The 05 led is black and has a little red like on the screen. I suggest u get it.

If your not starting out in paintball, then dont get an imagine or any other spyder. If you go ahead and buy a spyder, later you will regret it. The are good starter guns, and very easy to work on, but they arent made for competition. Get what most people will say, an ION or WRATH.

yea i was thinking about the ion and the wrath but like my best freind loves his spyder and asked me to atleast do some resaerch on them before i decide, we are on a 3 man team together and we are starting out in novice tournys and was wondering how long a spyder will last me before i really want another gun. do u know any higher end markers for competition that r under like 500 dollars.

What about the Spyder Pilot? Is it a good marker?

Its a good marker for begginners... Dont get a Spyder if your not a begginner or plan to play on a team. Get a higher end gun. Spyders are low end. I love my Spyder to, but put them up against Ions/Wraths and they will get stomped. The Pilot is good, but like I said only for begginners or people who play woodsball and stuff like that. If you dont play on a team and stuff, Spyders would be perfect, but playing in tournys you need a better gun...

I have just started getting into paintball along with some of my buddies from work. We have played a bit with some of the cheap Brasseagle pump-action pistols. The whole little cartridge thing and the pump thing is getting a little old though. Especially because some of the guys have acquired some better markers, and I just don't want to "throw myself to the lions" so to speak.
I kinda doubt that tourny's or anything like that will happen for me, for now just for fun. It is very satisfying to be able to shoot some one you work with not to mention bragging rights in the work place.

They are a good quality for their price.... good to start with, you can mod them up easier than any marker out there. The new ones can shoot at 20bps so they are fast ebough for you.

From what i've seen of spyders, they require some maintance. They are not an overly reliable gun. I've seen a large number of spyders break down, that makes me say that they are not always reliable. They always seem to have trigger problems or bolt problems, or stock feed neck problems..... Thats just what i've seen. When I go to a feild, i know I'll see at least one spyder break down.
For speed, they are compeditive there.

A spyder would be perfect for you. Depending on your price range. If you are willing to spend a little money, get a Spyder Electra ACS or Spyder Pilot ACS or a Spyder Fenix ACS. If you dont want to spend much, then get a mech. Spyder such as a TLX, Xtra, and others. A cheap electronic marker is a Spyder Imagine, which goes for $100...

hey guys, newbie here looking to buy my 1st gun.....got 192$ to spend and i found this
http://www.paintballgun.com/get_item...deluxe-kit.htm
a friend said that was the best i could get for under 200$....would any of you say otherwise? oh and i also have a question about the "Tournament velocity adjuster" i was reading the rules (from 2003) and it says "no external velocity adjuster that would allow the user to change the velocity with out use of tools or dissasembly" would the "Tournament velocity adjuster" require an allen wrench or something??? thanks alot
same gun as yours pballa12?
