hey, im proud to say im a newb at paintball. some fo you know this already from my other posts, im going to my local field this coming weekend, i dont want to look like an ass, or make myself look like an ass. any tips for me? i saw the post on what to wear and such but i dont want to come off to strong as a newb...im going with a few friends that have been playing for a while. im getting a jersy on wednesday and im getting my double trigger as well.... PLEASE HELP!!!

Mainly, try not to act like you know it all. The one thing I hate, is when people talk or act like they know everything, when they know nothing on the subject. Also, just act normal. Dont go out there trying to impress anyone. Your a noob, and you will play like a noob, so dont get upset or worried if you get shot up.

oh yea, listen and learn from the other players at the field. They will be able to help you alot more than the people can on this site, because they can interact with you.

just enjoy yourself man, everyone was new at some time or another, just dont be "scared" of getting shot, and act cool around everyone. dont be afraid to ask ?'s either, alot of guys are cool and will show you whats goin on or w/e

if you hear a group of experienced players talking just sit and listen. Dont talk because youll probably make yourself look like an idiot but listen you can learn alot

Most important thing is to have fun. When your playing yell out positions of the other team.(before starting, learn what each bunker is called. i.e.- dorito, snake, etc...) Don't be afraid to ask questions, normally the best ppl to ask are the ppl working. If they aren't around, just look for the ppl that you think are the most expierenced by the way they play. Have fun.

lol, what to wear. You don't need to wear something specific to be accepted, although a lot of people here might feel differently. I wear my camo that I use for woodsball when I go to local Speed fields. Noone cares what you wear as long as you shoot where you have to shoot and help your team every round.

Yea 1 VERY important thing you shouldnt do to make yourself seem like a noob and an ass at the same time is if you shoot somone Dont gloat about it just act like you have hit thousands of dudes b4 and its just the same old thing...

another thing when you get there dont talk alot like nonstop let people know your new and would like any advice possible that might help you out...

Also off break try to move...one of the things that alot of new kids do is stay in the very back on break and dont move at all the whole game..its not going to be fun for you and chances are your gonna get bunkered...keep your eyes open and gun up MOVE!!

Dont concentrate too much on just shootin the crap out of people. Just make sure your always lookin at your surroundings and moving up the field as much as you can. Like SP2009 said, dont hang out in the back. And most of all have fun with it.

DONT SHOOT OVER THE TOP OF YOUR BUNKER.

well...unless your in the snake but chances are you won't be there. It might seem like a good idea to shoot over the top of your bunker but think about it. First your hopper then your gun then your mask, then your eyes come over the top then you start shooting. However when you come out of the sides of the bunker, if you do it right, your eyes come out the same time your gun does.

You might say that youve seen tournoment teams do it, but most likely these guys know which times are appropriate to come over the top, and the mostly come over the sides anyways.

Just something that I see alot of new guys doing, hope it helps.

Obey the rules at the field, I hate it when some dumbarse newbie comes and shoots in the waiting area, or takes their goggles off, or doesnt get out when they are shot ; so just follow the rules and dont act like a smartass.
