k im stuck i dont know what to do i want a kind of woods kind of off woods gun not a tippmann im clueless what to buy cuz i will be playing speed ball and woods but i LOVE woods i dont know what gun to buy cuz some one told me an auto cocker cuz shot far and stuff but im not sure on that i have 200-270 but could get bigger idk and i need some paintball help and i may want electric cuz i might want a gun i can walk a littel or just shots fast IDK im so clueless

get an a-5 and get a flatline barrel, do the clicky pen mod, and ull be fine with woods ball

lol, the best woodsball gun you could get is a tippmann...the best in-between for the cheapest price is the a-5. If you want to take it a step up you could get the smart parts sp8 (i think thats what its called...)

I have an Ion and I play both, but mainly woods. I've never understood why people say that a Tippmann is best for woods. Sure, they are cheaper than e-markers, but it doesn't make them the best. Not that I dislike Tippmann because I'm going to get a 98C as a backup (unless I find a good price on a Proto, Shocker, Nerve, etc...then my Ion will be the back up . Even then, I might still get the 98C beause they are tanks! ).

Given you price range, you probably want to look at the Imagine. I got a really good deal on all of my stuff and still coughed up over $800 (See below for everything I got). I don't know exactly what you need (just marker? Tank? Mask? Hopper?), it sounds like everything, but I'm not sure.

So, as of now, the best suggestion I can give is: try everything in your price range. If you have friends with low-mid range markers, try theirs. If your local field/shop owner is really nice, maybe you could try something of theirs out. Some stores (at least my shop) has used markers on consignment that they are more likely to allow paint to be ran through (these also are cheaper since they are used).

My suggestion is obviously biased as I love my Ion so I will always suggest it. If you can drum up a bunch more, Nerves have dropped to an MSRP of $499. They got a bad rap when they first came out, but they are very solid markers. You can also find used Shockers as low as $300. I don't know where you're located, but if you are near St. Louis, MO, then go to Bing Shop - St. Charles. That's where I got my stuff and the owner, Jeff, is really knowledgable (he also plays for Sedition, so he's tried a few markers, to say the least).

FYI - There is a Sith Tactical frame and body for the Ion and then there is the SP-8.

no thats not the sp8. specops paintball or something like that decided that they would make a kit for the ion so it would be a "sniper". what they basically do is give the ion a 20 inch barrel, stock, and make this magazine parralel to the barrel, im guesing it can hold 15 paintballs at the most.
