Does the feedneck you bought have threads?

no, but there are like three little circular things towards the bottom on the inside of it that aren't allowing me to push it down all the way onto the pilot

it slides over the stock neck feed and secures with 3 allen keys. To put on the hopper, you move the "bar" so it loostens the neck at the top, and you just slide the hopper on.

well the problem i'm having is that it seems these "allen keys" are already on the feed neck which doesn't allow me to slide it on the stock feed neck

loosen the allen screws.....try that one then slide it on and tighten them up for a snug fit. you want tool tight not finger tight...well nevermind you cant get finger tight with allen screws..but you want her on there tight. be gentle though...you may tighten them up too much and bend in the stock feedneck a touch
