factory 12in or aftermarket 17 to 21in barrel
which is better a factory 12in barrel or a 3 piece Blitz 2Boku barrel which can be used as a 17" or 21".

Well, I've never heard of that Blitz 2 Boku barrel, but a 3 piece kit w/ two tips seems useless. I would use the stock 12" over that, plus anything over 16" is pretty useless for performance. And looks.

16" is the max size that you should get.

Like said before, anything over 16 inches is pointless. Not to mention it looks wierd on the gun.
I have had 14in. barrels on all of my guns. Not too long, but not too short either.

I guess I should probably back up our statements w/ some evidence.
The first 8" of the barrel should have the perfect paint to barrel match on the ball, because this space is needed for the ball to accelerate. After these 8", added friction will slow the ball down. It is because of this, that the bore size in most barrels is a step-bore system (Get's larger after the first 6-8 inches). This adds extra length for accuracy, and does not do much to slow the ball down. But after 14-16", the extra drag and friction on the ball slows it down too much, and decreases accuracy and efficiency.
This is why most people go for a 12-14" barrel, and others get a 16" barrel to help with playing tight, and pushing air bunkers in a bit for a real tight profile. IMO, 14" is the ideal length for all of these. Right in the middle, good accuracy, good velocity, good for pushing bunkers.

Excellent post, Ryan.
If you can find a paint that matches your stock barrel, then you're good to go. You'd be much better off with that than something that is WAY too long.

21" 3 piece Blitz 2Boku barrel = something that is WAY too long
imo, that would be one ugly marker.

Progressive is alright, but there are better one-piece barrels out there. The best would probably be Lapco (Not for looks, though, thats for sure). The CP 1-Piece barrels are great for the price.

Bigshot/Autospirit. Depends on the bore size you want . Those two are actually AMAZING barrels. They aren't very long, and use a control-bore the whole way through, with a mirror finish. Great barrels.
