Spyder Electra, worth it over the Imagine?
I was looking on the kingman site and saw the spyder electra. Is it worth it to get this over the imagine?
I here that all spyders are the same inside, but this has oveer double the firing rate? how can this be?

Yes, but see.
Electra-$280+an extra eframe that you want to buy for it, so that's like..320? You can buy an niceley up'd ion for that.
Imagine-$108=Already an electra without the rocking frame.
The ACS bolt and whatnot is nothing.

Yea, it is a better marker, but it requires HPA and a faster hopper to keep up. So, $250 or so for the Ion, $100- $150 for a used 68/45 tank, and $80-$100 for a used Halo B. So $430 to $500 for that setup.
If all you can use is co2 for now then go with the Imagine, or save up.

Well dude, if money isn't an issue... DM6.
Most people would say start with a lower end gun. If money isn't an issue that means you could start with something simple and buy something nicer later down the road. In that case if you are mechanically inclined and can work on things or understand them at least, then get an Ion. Up it some and enjoy it for awhile. But go ahead and buy the nicest hopper and tank right off the bat cause they will fit any marker later.

yeah don't waste your money on a so/so tank and hopper, because you will have to buy a better one eventually.

Before you buy any gun...how much experience do you have taking care of paintball markers?
If you don't have any experience taking care of paintball markers...just buy an imagine.
If you have a little, but not a lot...an Ion would be an ok route to go.
If you have a lot of experience...go all out and get a really nice gun.

dont get a high end marker to start off with, if you have bad cleaning habits its better to learn on a 100 dollar marker not a 1600 dollar marker but if money is no problem look at something with pds or vison or just eyes in general, look at ions, promasters,b2k4's with pds, anything in the under 500 dollar range

Yea I don't want to get a high end marker right now, i'll just break it. I have no experience with paintball, except a few rental games at the local fields. So Imagine it is, or should I learn matinance on the ion.

No. Go with the Imagine. Get experience taking care of a spyder before you go with something electro pnuematic. If something happens with a spyder, it's usually easier to fix. After you have experience dealing with proper maintenance of a marker, get something better...something electropnuematic such as an Ion.
