Newb Intro
Hey everyone, yup it's my first post. Seems like the right place to post this.
This site has been a big help up to this point. I'm sure I've found a new home for my new paintballing obsession. Big thanks to everyone.
Picked up a Viewloader something or other at Academy sports last weekend, well after I got it home and did further research I was a bit dissatisfied. Then with the aid of this forum and the rest of the net I narrowed down which one I would be happy with-the Tippmann A-5. Priced them all week long and ended up going to Austin to the big tournament event and picked it up yesterday.
Got together with a few friends and found the abandoned PB course on my Army base and had a great time today. That's about it, just an intro and a thanks.
See ya!

Nice. I always have a big fight with my friend over Tippys. He thinks its a good speedball gun. SPEEDball. The A-5 isn't as fast as other guns but he thinks its fast and accurate enough for a back player. So I make fun of him. How can you give enough cover and shoot down lanes for front players to move around if you can't let enough paint out.
Well welcome.

Big welcome man. Glad ya like it here, just don't let the speedballers put ya down. As long as you're having fun, that's what it's all about.

There's an abandoned airfield on Barber's Point NAS. We used to race our cars and motorcycles out there.

Yeah, apparently the guy that used to run it was charging out the *** for it and it eventually closed down 2+ years ago. A few of my friends that I go with used to use it. I'll post up some pics of it next out. It's actually like 3 courses in one. One all barrell close quarters type, one board close quarter type, and then like a 2 acre hill and trench type with a kind of dry swamp and a big ol bridge in the middle highground. It's pretty cool, we just have to see how long til the Game Wardens get wise to us. Then maybe we can see about getting it going again if they get all bent about it. It's a bit rundown & needs some upkeep but it's a pot of gold you might say. Best part is for now it's free!
