Just bought a promaster, is this true?

I bought a promaster and I have a 47 3000psi tank. The guy i purchased the gun from told me that I have to buy a low pressure tank because the gun is supposed to operate on a low pressure tank. I was under the impression that the gun operated under low pressure because the regulator kept the pressure low not because of the tank? The box says operates on HPA which i thought stood for high pressure air. Do I need to purchase a special low pressure tank or is the one I have ok?

Yes, a high pressure tank will work fine. Except for a select few every gun will work on HP.

You should be fine, you might need to adjust your reg and lpr "low pressure reg" to get the settings just perfect. The lpr will leak from time to time so keep it lubed. I just sold my promaster and I think I might buy another one. They are good markers.

the tank is fine. As you said, the regulators ensure the gun runs on lp air. You might consider a bigger tank.

A HP tank will work great on the Promaster.
