Okay Help
Well I've read that dudes beginners guide to guns thing, and I realize that kid's ask what gun all the time, but I'm still stuck.
I'm stuck between a Diablo Wrath and an Ion.
If I got the Ion I would put a new trigger and feedneck on.
But I'm wanting to get into tournies and I just don't know what gun to get, I've asked countless people and read countless articles (such as how I heard a Wrath can only get 800 shots out of a 68/4500). Just please help me to make a decision.

I would go with the ion. They are a great entry level electro-pnuematic and they are retailing now for less then $200... When I had mine, I was very very happy with it.

I agree with Medic.I would get an Ion because it is cheaper, but a Wrath can shoot faster.

Well I'm not exactly a starter, I've been about 6 times. But does pnuematic just mean it runs on nitro along with a battery? Will it hold up? About how many shots does it get with a 68/3000 tank or any tank at that?
Also I've heard that an Ion is like a noob gun, for example people automatically know your a noob if you use it, is this true? Also does it have an electric trigger and is a $30 trigger electric or are they higher? And will its hold up for tournies?
Anyone one else have an opinion?

Alright.
First off the $30 triggers you see are replacements for the trigger only, not the frame. The Ion is an electro-pnuematic marker meaning that it uses an electronically actuated solenoid and a circuit board.
So in your understanding, yes it is an electric trigger.
I seriously reccommend you read up on Ion operation before you even consider buying one.
If you are serious about tournaments, you should upgrade the barrel before or at the same time as the trigger.

So dude what are you saying. That if I buy the custom products ion trigger that it wont fit the frame, because I thought it would be as simple as putting it in and just pulling it to make the gun shoot?
So basiaclly what I'm asking is, if I get the trigger do I have to buy anything else for it to work with the ion? And also is a Diablo Wrath an electro-pnuematic?

if you buy the trigger itll work with the gun, yes you just push the pin out of the ion, take the trigger out, follow the instructions and punch the pin back in, then you pull and itll shoot

Ok Thanks dude, I don't know why but the dude before made it seem like I needed more than the trigger. So are most guns electro-pneumatic (or however it's spelled)? Such as the diablo Wrath, like do I need to buy anything else besides a batery and nitro tank to make the gun work?

The only reason people call an Ion a n00b gun is beacuse it's so inexpensive. A lot of people just starting out get them because of the price. But it is an excellent gun and so much better than any Spyder, that they can't even be compared.
As far as a Wrath shooting faster, they both can do 15bps and that's usually the limit in tournaments, so that's all you'll ever need. Why shoot any faster at any time?
As far as upgrading the trigger. I'd say barrel and feedneck first. The stock trigger is not that bad. The first time I held an Ion, I hit 12bps on semi. The stock trigger is adjustable and you can get the pull where you want it to be fast for you.

Remember, if you get the Ion, you need an HPA tank and a hopper like an evolution 2 or halo/reloader b.

thank you to all everyone. I'd like to say that I've made up my mind like a week ago that I'd get an evo II "eggy," 68/3000 tank (my buddy is hooking me up with it cheaper), and a smart parts q-lock feedneck. Anyone know any real cheap sites?

id go with the wrath with a new barrel, empire reload 2, and just regular co2.. Much cheaper than getting a compressed air tank for the ion, and they both can reach the same with semi. Only difference is that the ion has alot more fancy ways to shoot which are mostly rejected in tournaments anyway.
EDIT: Anti-siphoned c02 works better than c02 but they both do the job

Ok well if you wanna stand out a bit more and not be the thousand others that have an ion then go with the wrath and the wrath shoots faster. But at the same time ions are good guns in a way it realyl is just preference and the reasons they are labeled as newb guns is because there is a good amount of ion owners(not all) that are just stuck up lil biatch newbs. Anyways an ion could hold up in a tourny i have seen it before, but remember it is also the player. For upgrades I would recomend a 45/45 compressed air tank because a tank you will have even when you get a new gun. For a hopper go with a Halo you can get it used for like 60-70 and halo is another upgrade you keep when you up to anotehr gun if you do. DO NOT USE Co2 ON YOUR ION OR ANY ELECTRO MARKER. Even if it has an anti-siphon tube i still would not use it just get hpa. Get a new barrel, feedneck and you should be good and a new trigger if you dont like the feel of the stock trigger.
