tippman does not need a regulator, and an ion comes stock with one

dont forget to use HPA with your Ion though

when you put a 3000 PSI tank into a gun that is designed to run on 150-200 PSI, a regulator changes the air pressure from 3000 to that 150-200 PSI. any gun you need it for comes standard with it, but most stock regulators arent great. you sound like youre new, just like me, so i wouldnt worry about upgrading the regulator just yet. im about to get an ion too, good luck with yours.

ion stock regs arent THAT BAD imo the arent the best but i can get +/- 4 on my gun and it has a stock reg
