98c a good idea?
Me and my friend thought on both getting guns for a while and now we are. I was wandering if it would be a good idea to get a 98 Custom with a Flatline Barrel and a GTA Double Trigger.
I was thinking to get the gun and double trigger first then in like a month when I got more cash get the barrel.
My question is, is this a good set up? I have only shot nearly one paintball before and it was from a pump and I dont know much about the sport.... actualy... i know almost nothing of it. Im looking for a set up to be good for outdoor in wielderness and has a long range as I like to shoot from far.
If thers a better setup for range and that will cost about the same I would appreciate the info.
Also what site has cheap hoppers?
Thanks for feedback in advance.

yeah a tippmann 98 c would be a good gun for you. but if i were you id go play paintball first, at a feild, then decide if you want a paintball gun because u dont wanna spend that 100 dollars and then decide u dont wanna play. and for range, there is no such thing as sniping in paintball because a paintball rarely flies straight. Most time when u play your pretty close to them, at least under 100 feet. and a scope is kinda a waste of money cuz a paintball doesnt fly staright unless u want the scope for looks, and if so im sure you could find some. and all gravity feed hoppers are about 5 dollars on every site.

I agree, go to a reputable field and play a few times. Not only will it set in stone tat you like it, but you can get an idea what you like about it. Getting a gun wihtout any knowledge of the sport is silly. Remember besides a gun your going to need at least a gravity feed hopper, some sort of air supply, CO2 or HPA, and a quality mask. If any of this confuses you, you need to go play. Besides, at the field you can always ask to try someones gun, maybe youll like thiers better, but If I were you Id deffinately go to a real field (not some random open space you can shoot in, but a reak field with fils and paint and reffs and stuff) and make sure your ready to invest at LEAST 100 (the $100 box packs suck though and if your realy into the sport you will replace almost all of it in one season, thus wasting your $) bucks into gear.

Yeah I know I will need the other stuff. But can you reccomend a place to buy a good price mask?
yeah ill probly end up going to the real field becouse sounds like fun anyways to go fool around tommarow. But im sure I will like this becouse my brother used to also do it when we still lived in templeton and he is the one who back then used to say he wanted a tippmann as his first gun (he always used his friends extra for the time he played before we moved). And he seemd to play it alot and im always into things he is.
Yeah i suspect this sport will rob me of my allowance and when summer comes my summer job money to. But it sounds like it will be alot of fun and after my last social activity ended im not realy doing much except maybe hanging out a few times a week. So this will be fun especialy now that my friend wants to play to. It's also good that he lives in the mountains so that we can play up there becouse his family owns a good deal of land and we visit eachother often.

yea i think it'd be good to play before you buy a marker but a 98 custom is a good marker. Just don't get the trigger and barrel because u need co2 or hpa, hopper, mask, etc. You can buy a full package with the marker that comes with everything you need to go out and play. Also, I would play with the things you have at least once before playing.

A 98C is a good idea, but a Custom Pro is a better idea.

Get a standard 98 custom and a CP one piece 14" barrel. Double trigger if you want. But don't get the flatline.
Have fun.

Yeah I decided against flatline quickly after considering it becouse I herd it is picky on paint and also while it adds the good range it is not realy worth the price.
