I'd slap on a flatline on my Tippmann and take out any Ion in the woods. But thats in the woods.
If your starting speed ball an Ion is the most popular way to go. Don't over look the autocockers though, there not bad even though they have a reutation of breaking down.....

Umm, no.
I do agree that it is more player than gun, but while youre shooting maybe 10 balls per second, theyre shooting more. Unless you think youre better than every single person who owns an ion. Which would be highly unlikely.

Ion is nice but will need bats and a battery hopper. I like my Ion but if I can get my Tippy working right again..

But what are they going to do if they can't hit me becouse i'm to far away. They can spray paint in my direction all they want. I'll shoot once or twice and take em out.

flatline doesnt actually increase the range, thats physically impossible as it will be at most the same force (a little friction from flatline system subtracts a minor amount of force) propelling the same mass. all it does is create a sharper decline towards the end. they would be able to hit you if you can hit them no matter what.

You really need to see a flatline in action then. I've tested it before. We had a tippmann 98 with a flatline that shot about 260 fps give or take a few. We then took other guns that shot about 290 fps and shot them at the same target. After every shot a 3rd person moved the target back a couple of feet. The flatline ended up being able to hit a good 10 feet longer then the other guns was able to....... IT ADDS DISTANCE. not only that but it makes a flater shot, allowing you to get balls through brush easyer then an arc.

kaz is right a flatline can give you more distance and it does take from the speed but if distance and acc. are what you need get the flatline if you want something you can just spray out of get a kit

To be honest. I would go with the new spyder mr2. I wanted a new gun for woodsball that could also hold up in a speedball now and then. Not caring a whole lot for spyders, i shot this thing and fell inlove with it. It has that feel of a tipman a-5 but the speed of a ion. has a quick switch from semi-auto, 3rnd, 6rnd, and full-auto. in semi auto it hits up to 25bps. full auto about 15, if you can get a hopper to keep up with it. it dominates the woodsball/scenario games. the people that ahvent tried it always talk crap about it but when you talk to someone who owns one you will hear nothing but good things. It gets ya some good attention at the field to. people always asking questions about it after they see the performance. i get a lot of..."nahhhh thats not a spyder."
