questions from the new guy
okay. i have a mokal fokus marker that i bought awhile ago. back when i first started playing. All i do is play woodsball. there isnt anywhere to play speedball or anything around here. im in the market for a new gun, just because. one of those "i want to get something new" times. plus i just got a second job, so ill have a bit extra cash. so for the first question, i was thinking of getting a 2004 pirahna evo. im liking the idea of eyes. also the position of the foregrip would be more comfy for me. my other question is about HPA. I was wondering if i could get it filled at the one of the local dive shops? im guessing its the same idea as a dive tank, but smaller. im going to ask them, but i wanted the opinion of you guys. if so, which tank to get? i dont want to spend too much money, because it isnt as if i play every other day. like, once a week maybe. i only use 300 to 500 rounds a day right now.
thanks
harris

youd have to ask your scuba shop about filling your tank...yes a piranha evo would be a good gun. dont pay more than 130 for one, cuz thats how much they go for new on xpaintball.com
a good sized tank for you would be a 48ci/3000psi tank, which will roughly get 480 shots per fill, and its not a very big tank, but it will be a little heavy, but as long as youre not weak or small, youll be fine

just buy a used tank at 3000 psi and a cheap fill station and you will get about 30 fills out of that

Ions are so low$$.. And for woodsball they are the right color.. I think the Evo could be a great gun, I've got a EXT(non-electric),has a prob, but it's no where near my Ion and it's not dust black. But I've seen Evo's just over $100, so money for goodies. And Mr. flowbob, I gotta dissagree on the tank, get at leat a 68/4500 especially if your dive shop can fill that high. If you don't have HPA on site where you play I'd maybe go for a 88ci tank, go find one to lift and check out first though. Good thing about the Evo is you could throw in a C02 tank and shoot it with that when your HPA tank runs out. There really isn't one best setup, LOL, : )

he said he only shoots 3-500 pballs per day, at the most i'd get a 72/3000, I doubt he wants to spend 150+ on a tank

Well you could get an Ion
and get soem type of tactical body kit
(I always reccomend Ions because I love mine)
but yeah a 68/3000 or 48/3000 tank is good and you could basically play a whole day with one fill if you dont shoot that much

okay, so HPA sounds like the way to go. An ion would be overkill for me, i just doubt that i would need it. I'm not too concerned with weight, what are we talking here? Right now i have a pretty heavy gun, with a cromo 9oz. not the biggest tank, but it is steel. My dad has an air compressor, how can I check if that is powerfull enough to filll up a tank. Also, what do the numbers mean? I see 48ci, 68ci, etc. and then also 3000psi, 4500psi, and others i think too. Are the ci numbers size, and the psi numbers pressure that they can fill to? if so, wouldnt i want something like a 68ci/4500psi so i could go for awhile without having to fill?
thanks

i dont think its worth it to get an ion, since he plays woods and only once in a while
evo will be a very good gun

as for the dive shop, just get a scuba, its only around 120, then you get it filled for 5, and play off it for a long time.

what do you mean by scuba? just like, a scuba tank? and then i would need a fill station too correct? i think i can rent those huge steel tanks of air or co2 from the local rentall. its like, 50 bucks a year, with 5 bucks a fill. would one of those work?
also, all the tanks i see on ************* or xpaintball are N2 tanks. Are these the same as HPA tanks? I will be getting a steel or aluminum one, because the fiber ones just cost too much. i have seen two different fittings on the ends of the tanks. one looks like it plugs into a valve, the other just looks like a co2 fitting. im guessing the co2 fitting is what ill need, but which is better? it sounds like ill get a 3000psi tank, but im not sure what size. i saw an aluminum WGP 50ci/3000psi tank that looked nice, about the right size, not too heavy, etc. also, will dye rhino thingys fit on a tank like that? or are they fiber tanks only?
thanks

yes, i ment a scuba tank, then yeah you would need the 40ish doller fill station too, and yes hpa, and n2 tanks are the same thing.
