I think his question was what pressure is nitrogen stored at in bulk tanks, not in a PB tank. I have answered the question you answered in the guide
But yes, HPA and a good hopper are two things i actualy suggest people get prior to upgradin to a better gun. It's one of those hidden costs than can impede your ability to use a new gun and to play, if yo dont have the $$ to get them.

ok, here is my question and problem. i live near Yosemite National Park in CA and the only tank refill station i can find are CO2. It is a welding supply place and they cannot fill HPA tanks. i would have to drive to modesto to find a paintball shop and/or Scuba shop capable of filling HPA. My first question is this, if i am useing an air efficient gun (like a psyder vs3 or Ion running at 200psi operating)what is a rough estamate of shots i will get from say a 68/4500 tank? i am asking because if i need to have more than one tank (at $100-$150 a tank) just to make it through a day it isnt worth it. i can currently run about 1500-2000 shots on a fresh 20oz CO2 tank. My second question is how much are the average charges you see for filling HPA tanks? i know there are fields in CA that the air is free with your field fees but CO2 cost. I understand why, co2 is a product to purchase, HPA is more of a service if they have a compressor. thanks a lot for taking time to help us noobs.
i have a VM68 and the pin thing you pull back to cock the gun and push up for the safety fell off and now i need a replacement does anyone know what its called or where i could get one?

great Q&A. u may want to add in the estimated amount of shots though for example a 68/4500 tank therefore new players can expect how many shots they would get. but other than that point great guide
Not really. they usualyl dont' have the correct attachments. Most aslo require yout o have a SCUBA certification before you get a tnak filled by them. They will, howevre, send in a paintball tank to be hydrotested
1. How drastic of a weight reduction is it from Steel to Carbon Fiber.
2. If my paintball place says they have a 4500psi filling station, does that mean it can fill any bottle that is rated at and below 4500psi or just at 4500psi?
I've got a question: For a new player, is it worth it to invest in an HPA tank rather than CO2? Also, around how much would it cost to get a 48/3000 HPA tank filled?

That depends on the gun. If you know you're going to be playing for a while you'll eventually upgrade your gun which will most likely require you to go to HPA, so yes, it would be better to invest in HPA over CO2 especially when it's much more consistent.
I'm actually curious on typical fill costs for HPA as well. I can't imagine it being any higher than CO2 since you're just compressing air rather than having to buy the CO2.
local shop charges something like $3 for a 3k fill and $5 for a 4.5k fill
o just fyi to all the people looking for a HPA tank out there, yes the 48/3k tanks are cheap, but they are about the size of a 9oz co2, very very small, look for a 56/3k or a 72/3k minimum, they are usually only a few bucks more but give you a lot more air

Thanks for your help. That seems like a very reasonable price for a fill too. I was thinking about getting a tippmann 98 custom with this tank: GUERRILLA AIR 62cui 3000psi - BuyPBL Paintball. Is that a good combination? How many shots could I expect on one fill?
im not a fan of the 98 at all but for the tank and a blowback marker, id guess around 1000

VS1 is the best not that they've stopped making the VS2. Smaller, lighter, more efficienct, cheaper than the Tippmann. Around $100, and a better marker in almost every way. Although VS2 is great if you can still find it.
Thanks for your help guys. I looked into the spyder vs1, and it looks good, but i have a few questions:
Isn't the gun 150$?
Second, I'm a bit wary of buying an electro for my first gun. Is it easy to maintain/operate? Also, I'd like to gt a gun that can be played in speedball and woodsball, if thats possible. Can I do that with a vs1?
For now this is my choice, but if anyone knows of any good mechanicals can you let me know?
