I order the Tippmann A-5 a couple of days of go and it's my first marker but to the looks of it people say it has a bad barrel. Any suggestion on the barrels and new upgrades.

You shouldn't spend to much money upgrading a tippman if you are ever looking into buying a new gun. But barrel is a good cheap upgrade. The only one i could suggest for a tippman is a j&j ceramic barrel.

thank you. I was only going to get the double trigger mabey and a new barrel. Im going to do some little research for the j&j ceramic barrel.

The tippmann a5 isn't good for speedball.

The barrel will have to be tippmann threads, and you won't be able to use the barrel with any future guns unless you get an adapter, which is a waste.

I have a Teardrop barrel on my Tippmann and I don't really have any complaints with it. It doesn't shoot as straight as my Shocker with its Freak but for the price of the Teardrop I'm satisfied.

See i told my dad didn't listen to me so he got me the A-5 because its more reliable but i said its not that great for speedball

they both perform about the same, but I like the big shot more. J&J Ceramics feel like their name, they feel like ceramic, and I really don't like that. I found my Big Shot accuracy wise to be the same if not a little better than my friends who shoot Ceramics.

They are both great, I was happier with the Big Shot, so thats what I will reccomend.

also a rt/ egrip is a great upgrade.

i had an a5 with a
12" all american
rufus dawg upgrade kit lvl 2
new front grip
rt
and i played a tourny with it. we had all mechs and everyone else had all electros. we came in 4th.
