If you're buying new, get an Ion, steel tank, and reloader b.

Good for the money. Good starter gun. Can use the reloader throughout your paintball career.

i see.. well thats a little out of my buget. How does an Ion, Evo II, and 48/3000 steel tank sound? cause i can accually afford that, + theres a lifetime warenty on the Ion.

$175 for the Ion
$60-80 on the tank
$130 on the hopper
365-385... with shipping costs... around 400.

Perfect. But I'd get a Reloader B over a Halo B.

i think id rather have a carbon fiber tank and get a revvy
the revvy fits perfectly in the feedneck and its less expensive to upgrade from a revvy to a halo than upgrading from a steelie to a carbong fiber tank

i think it is.... i would go with the ion the reloader b and i agree with renting a tank. A steel tank is heavy and i know when i switched over to speed ball that i was done with the weight of co2 tanks. YOu can use a reloader b for any other gun you buy and with the ion... i have seen some sick ions that tear up more expensive setups so if you want you can even trick out the ion and not get another gun for a while

the Reloader B has different feed rate settings so it can be gentle on the paint or hard as it pushes for max speed. There is a preformance difference but you'll never see it with an ion capped at 17bps. I personally like my halo.
The ion is a good gun, especially for a new speedballer. It's price can't be beat. It also has a large aftermarket and i'd recommend a firebolt, a new barrel and a feedneck to get the most out of it.
As far as tanks, you could go used and try for a 68/3000 for cheap or try to find 68/4500s that are out of hydro (which lowers the price and is only ~$20 on your end to get it tested) Just stay away from steel tanks.

That is absolutely no way to judge which product is better than the other. Look at the Ion ($199) vs. and A-5 ($204). An Ion will rape an A-5 in practically every category.
But yeah, Reloader B is Sound activated, but if you don't mind buying a used hopper you can get a Halo B pretty damn cheap on the nation. I just picked one up for $55 with a rip drive, new drive cone, and suicide shells.

not true. when you buy a tippmann you are buying it for the reliability, not performance. name another marker you could practically run over with a truck and will still work. For the price the Ion is probably what you're looking for.
