some questions.

our work social club is organising a day trip to a local paintball field. I am really looking forward to this and want to make the most of the day so i have a few questions (after reading the forums).
1. "Semi automatic Tippmann 98 Custom" or "Tippmann SL68 II pump action" ?

2. Paintballs; will these .68 cal paint balls fit in the above guns? (cheaper to buy them offsite) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/paintballs-50...QQcmdZViewItem

BTW, this is where i am going www.skirmishdownunder.com.au
thanks for helping me to WHOPASS!

Definitely go for the 98 Customs. Much faster considering the other marker is a pump. And yes, the paint will work fine with the 98 Custom. However, I don't know if you should be buying the paint at a store, and bringing it to the field. Most fields have a rule that you must buy the paint they have at the field. So check with that first.

awesome, thanks mate for your quick reply.
I guess thats where they make there money, as they sell them at $25 for 100 balls, and supply only 100. Any ideas howmany i will need for a full day?

I guess i varies from person to person.

Lmao, believe it or not. At that price you'd be better off getting the pump. You'll use way less paint each game since it's a slower marker. That's your choice though.

My field gives you 500 to start off and $20 for another bag of 500 after that. So ya, that place is expensive. Maybe try a different field? Or see if that field has a bring your own paint (BYOP) day.

My first time playing I remember a bag of 500 paintballs lasted me 5, maybe 6 games with a mechanical marker, like the 98 Custom your field has.

wow that is a lot of money for paint. i would get the custom and try to get a group discount for paint if you are going in a big group. if the company knows its going to get a lot of business they might give you a discount.
