New Player Looking for Some Advice

First off want to say Hello to everyone

I'm new to the sport just picked up my Tippmann 98 Custom 2 days ago. I'll be playing with a bunch of my friends on my property that I have near my home.

Our games will primarily in a heavily wooded area and would like to know of any modifications I should look into to optimize my markers performance in that kind of a setting.

Thanks Again

It really depends on what style of play you want.

If you are more into the speedball type play, then this is the place to be.

If you are more into Military Simulation and Realism type play, this isn't really the best place to ask for advice. If that's what you're into, there are still some people who can help out though.

If you don't know what you want yet, just check out this and other forums and see what you think you might be into.

The first thing i would pick up is the flatline barrell. if any thing upgrades the performance of the tippmann 98, that does. also, after you bought that, i would look into maybe a resonse trigger, and an electric hopper.

you really don't have to have the flatline barrel. they don't really do all that much. the effective range they add is minimal. i would recommend a new barrel such as a j&j ceramic, then hpa, then a fast hopper, then a response trigger or e-grip or new gun.

I wouldn't get a flatline, it simply isn't worth it, even though you get the added range, the balls are going to slow to actually break on someone while using a flatline. I would suggest picking up a decent, cheap barrel for about $40 (check out a cp 1 piece) and maybe save up for a nitro tank if you plan on moving on to a better gun.
