hi, i have about $500 to spend all together. so i was wondering what the best gun, co2/air, and i guess a mask for that money. i was looking at the ion and the price has droped about $100(its about $250). oh and i live in canada but i dont think that will matter to much cause the exchange rate betwwen canada and us is inly about 10 cents now anyways. so whatever info u guys got for me that would be great, thnx

a halo is good. Just you have to always keeo batteries with you. Mine runs out of batteries fast. Nabey cuz it spins fast so it uses batteries. But that could be just mine i bought ut used. I think empires hoppers are decent hoppers.
I bought a lasoya promaster about six months ago, this thing completely ripps, I swear to god I hit 16 balls a second shooting straight semi with no upgrades. I picked it up from my home field owner for 415 my cost.
I'm gonna quote USD prices here since that's all I'm familiar with.
Ion, the run about $200 USD. Then buy a new feedneck and barrel, that'll run you about $70-100 new. For a hopper, it really depends how seriously you play. If it's recball/woodsball, something that's not tournaments or serious play, just get a revvy, I think they're about $30-50 new; if you plan on playing seriously, a Halo/Reloader B/VLocity are the best choices, dont' even bother with the Evlution; those three run from about $100-130ish. For a tank, go with HPA, not co2. I like PE tanks. A nice 4500psi tank should run you about $150-200. So that amounts to at least $450, or at most $630.
To save money, you could probably wait to uprade the barrel and/or buy a used barrel. A used tank would be fairly save too, just make sure to check that it has a decent hydro date.
yea i donno if he will be able to get a good tank hopper mask and ion for $500 yes the exchange rate is only diff by 10 cents but everything involving paintball is so much cheaper in the us then canada

Throw in some shipping costs and that's what I'd probably grab. If you can't afford to go over $500 a little you're going to be really hard pressed to play paintball unfourtunately.
he doesn't need everything new, especially the pod pack and mask. And he'd be better off buying a revy or going all out on a Halo, rather than a TSA, and the on/off can wait. If you do buy everything new, then you are going to be really hard pressed to play paintball.

I wouldn't go used on a mask.. Being able to see is such a big part of the game. The lense is such a large percentage of the cost of a mask that I wouldn't go used.
thats ur basics but in additon in order to fit the halo on the ion then u have to get a clamping feed neck $30 barrel is fine and an on off would be nice so o ya and i forgot a bout the tank get a steell then up grade to a fiberwrapped $70
