ok i have decided to most likely get an ion as my firt gun. But i want to know what should be the first upgrade to get on it, iv think i wan to get a new trigger. i want the trigger to be a very light pull, so i just have to tap it and it will shoot, so any info on what trigger to get would be nice. also i think im gona be getting a halo b for the ion, and i think i remember hearing that u need a new feed neck for it to fit or something like that. so any info on anything would be great, thnx
the stock trigger is really light as it is, but a new trigger is just better feeling and not plastic. i would say to wait on the trigger until you get other upgrades.
i would definately get a clamping feedneck first no matter what hopper you are getting. then an on-off asa. then after those which will make the gun better, but not shooting performance wise, defiantely get a QEV and new bolt because your efficiency will absolutely suck without those and especially with the stock settings. then after those would i get a new trigger.
theres always the firebolt made by smartparts, and theres also the lucky stage 1 bolt kit, and the newdesignz qev works pretty good in the ion that my cousin has. and as for barrels the ultralite is the way to go, unless you want a kit, theres always the freak kit wich is ok, but there are better kits out there

the bolt is what pushes the ball into the barrel and then it releases the air to propel the ball. a qev is a quick exhaust valve and it lets the air that would normally go back into the solenoid vent quicker for better efficiency and higher cycle rates.
i have the new designz qev and bolt and they have been good to me. a good feedneck is the q-lock by smart parts though i dont have it but i have heard its good. i have the empire clamping feedneck and its good, but i still had to sand my halo neck down to get it to fit in the feedneck without the tabs on the feedneck bending out. and the stock barrel is ok with bigger sized paint, but i just ordered an evil pipe kit so i dont have to use the same paint all the time.

yes thank you guys. i do want to fully up it but not yet, i dont have enough $$ for it, so im just gona do a little bit at a time. thats why i wanted to know what the first thing i should get is
right now i have a planet eclipse impulse, shortly i will be looking for a dm3. but buying from the forum is good, i didn't buy mine from here but its a nice place very good variety and most of them for good prices, and there arent thousands of people so you arent liable to get ripped off like on the nation, how much money are you looking to spend?

redz feedneck is awesome, i have it on my ion, cp triggers look and feel really nice but comfortability is simply personel, as for barrel ultralite or freak as stated, and the rest have been stated before but the qev needs to be at least in the third position right with the bolt but you have the feedneck in its right place
