X ball and speedball whats the diffrence?

Ok im a newb and im not really sure what the diffrence between X ball and speedball are. When i went to the feild today we played at this field that had an X in the middle. But people were calling it both speedball and X ball. So is X ball just a friend that has an X in the middle. Because i played another small arnea that didnt have an X, and people just called it speedball. So what is the diffrence between X ball and speedball?

Xball fields are all designed the same way, and you can "live" from the same bunker for generally the whole game. Xball is usually more fast-paced and harder to play than regular speedball, and since all the fields are the same, you can just use one main strategy. Speedball, on the other hand, has many different bunker layouts and can vary in so many different ways.

^Obviously...And didn't the home bunkers just recently get changed to mini x's, or was it the back corner bunkers?
