Shooting the gun today a little...After the hopper was empty I pulled the trigger once more with no ball sin the gun...The gun did like a rapid fire, like 7 shots by itself, with no ammo.. I unscrewed the tank, screwed it back on and cocked the gun. Pulled the trigger once with no paint in the gun, and again the gun shot EXTREMLY fast about 10-15 times... WHATS THE DEAL!?

I'm guessing you're shooting a blowback of some kind (Piranha, Spyder).

When that happens, does the bolt uncock? If so, then it means your tank needs to be refilled. There wasn't enough air coming out of the tank to supply the marker sufficiently.

When you fired, the sear let the hammer/bolt loose which triggered the valve, and since it's a blowback (the air from the valve helps cock the marker back with every shot), there wasn't enough air to cock the marker back so the hammer/bolt just kind of bounced around a little from the spring until it stops and is just uncocked afterward. That's why it was shooting very fast.

In other words: tank was empty, fill 'er up.

Haha yeah, Im assuming a tippmann or something like ^^^, But yeah it sounds like in your case, that your tank is out of air. If it had paintballs in it, it wouldnt have rapidlly shot those babies out of there at 270 FPS. It would probley break them or spit them out the end. Solve this problem by filling your air tank (20-25 cents a ounce)

Did it uncock after rapid-firing or did it semi-cock?

Uncocking means low air.

Semi-cocking means you need to clean/oil your gun.

Oil your gun, check to see if the sear or the catch on the hammer is worn down, and fill up tour tank.

ya its Low Air probably...like on a blowback marker it makes a big whine noise and the bolt will move back and forth really really fast then just uncock. Where as like an ION when it runs out of air it just makes a little noise letting the rest of the air escape out the barrel.
