Ya, with a mechanical low-end marker, when you pull the trigger it pushes on a sear that is holding the hammer back and the sear trips allowing the marker to cycle/fire.
With an electronic low-end, when you pull the trigger it presses down on a microswitch which triggers a solenoid that activates the sear to trip and allows the marker to cycle/fire.
For these reasons, electronic markers have lighter trigger pulls and you will be able to reach much higher rates of fire.
