Spyder Pilot with LP? Optimal working pressure?

Hello guys,

would like to know, if I could use my spyder pilot in LP (about 450psi)? Could there arise problems in FPS or total range in compersion to HP (about 800-850psi) ???

The reason why I'm asking is, that the gun seems to shoot more accurate with less pressure in the HP bottle....
Is that possible or only a fancy??

I would appreciate any help....

the higher the pressure thats going into the gun the faster the fps, and higher fps the farther the paintball goes

but im not sure about the accuracy part

In generell, thats right... but there are guns out there, which work better with LP or maybe there is a technical limit for the pressure, which provides a constant working pressure of about 450psi in the marker..

For example Angels, I think..

So how about Spyder?? Everbody, any experiences????

angels are a LP gun and Spyder is a high pressure so higher pressure provides optimal performance for ur pilot

There are LP spyders out there, but its alot of custom modification, polishing of internal etc. Honestly, if you think your gun is working better on a lower pressure, buy a good adjustable tank like an AGD flatline or a max-flo and tune it to your liking. Flatlines come setup to putout between 0-about 1200psi, the older style max-flo's had about the same range, but have specific pressure output kits availiable that make them more stable in those ranges.

You could also use a fixed output HP tank and slap a secondary reg on it. A good reg like a palmers stab is a good investment(as is the adjustable), and would be useful for a future "high end" marker.

I run a LP (350-450 psi) spyder Imagine. You will need A LP Valve like the Maddmann, with a spring kit, a good regulator, Iuse the Palmer Stabilizer, and a lighter bolt. Polishing the internals will help a bit. Sometimes you also have to drill out your vertical adapter for better air flow. I didn't as I used and after market VA with larger air passage.
