Spyder Pilot bolt plug??

Hello again..

there are 2 different versions of striker bolts plugs out there.

So my gun originally (new) came with a "single plug" which only covers the striker shaft.. A friends gun (TL-R) has a different plug, which seems to be better, cause it covers striker & bolt shaft...

So with the double plug I dont have the risk, that dirt comes into my gun\bolt shaft..

So I ordered a new one(double plug)from my local supplier, and he told me, because of pressure, which can't left the shaft it isn't adviseable to use this one...

Actually, using this one could damage my gun...

I have seen many pics, which shows spyder pilots with a double plug on it...

Any experiences?? Is he right, or could I put the double version on my gun without hesitation??

Thx for any help...

The double plug will really do nothing, dirt should not get into the gun because the bolt has a relatively tight seal with the body. Also if the plug did help keep dirt out it would get in any way where the bolt pin has room to slide back and forth. The guy at your local shop has no clue what he is talking about, all of the pressure used to fire the gun will either be used to blow the bolt back or to fire the paintball, none of it should go behind the bolt. Even if it did, again the slot for the bolt pin would allow no pressure to be built up.

k, thx a lot!

So I'll get the double-plug...,even if it gives no really advantage... but it looks smarter than the single version and makes me feel more safe.... :-)
