Exclamation What all do I need to be up and running?

I was recently given a MilTec-66 CQB as a christmas present. I been playing woodsball for a little while and I had been wanting a nice gun. I have the gun itself but nothing else. I want to go remote line with a pure energy tank. I just need to know all the parts involved so I dont try and set this up wrong. If anyone can please let me know what to use and some really good quality equipment, I would appreciate it. And if you have any ideas about this marker please let me know. Thanks,

Michael

never heard of the marker. don't go with the remote. it depends on how much money you have to spend on every thing. let us know how much $ you can put in and we can have a better idea of what you should get. personally, im not into milsim or woodsballing at all. woods is ok, but i prefer speedball a lot more.

Money really isnt an issue maybe the $250-$300 price range for a tank, mask and what else is needed. the tank i looked was a pure energy 48ci 3000psi N2 tank. You can see the gun at this link:

Military Paintball - Armotech, WarSensor, Ariakon, We are the REAL Woodsball Store

Where I live is mostly military personel, and its rather easy to get a woodsball game going opposed to a speedball game.

Do i need a regulator coming off the tank or in line with the remote line?

The reason I was thinking about the remote line was the location of the air feed into the marker(in through the magazine). It seems a little more practicle but you guys have the experiance. Let me know what would be a good setup given the looks of the gun or with quality of product.

hmmm, based on the setup you got already, now i see a remote might be necessary to keep the marker from being way too heavy. don't hold back on a mask, as i consider it the most important thing besides your gun. if your mask is crap, you won't have fun. i suggest a vforce profiler or something similar. as far as the N2 tank goes, i would stay away from a steel tank since your gun is heavy as it is. get a carbon fiber wrapped tank. if you do get a remote, i ihave no idea how you will mount that on a harness, but w/e. i personally prefer running a bottom line and using the tank as a stock instead of running a remote. but w/e floats your boat. get w/e else you think you need. as far as a hopper, you really only need a regular one (like 5 bucks), but i would suggest something like a 12v VL so you dont chop (it's happened to me even with my mech spyder). Theyre pretty cheap. thats really all you need.

i really would try not to get a remote. they will get snagged on things and reduce your mobility in a woodsball game.

agreed...remote lines are cool looking, but get snagged way to easily in the woods. not fun. I'd just go with the tank, but if you think your gun is way to heavy or not balanced, you can always pick one up later.

that gun would work better on a remote than a tank. The gun already has a m4 style stock, i would not put a tank on it. The tank would just be more dead weight hanging on the gun. Milsim guns tend to be designed for use with remote line in the first place.

No you dont need a reg to run the gun off HPA

I would also, from a milsim standpoint, suggest a q loader. You dont need the speed, but it would be damn cool to mount the thing under the barrel like a grenade launcher, and the only thing that would make it look "off" would be the hose.

Thats a neat gun, but WAY overpriced.

My brother has a remote line, he loves it. He runs it up though his BDU's and has a hole on the inside of his sleeve near the cuffs, he never gets snagged. Just a suggestion if you do get a remote.
(Oh bye the way he said the only draw back to that method is that its uncomfortable to do it because of the coils on the line)
