What do I need for woodsball?
I just got a Piranha e-force gti 07. It comes with a mask, a barrel plug, and a 9 0z CO2 tank. I just wanted to know if the following things would be a good investment for woodsball.
-Electronic hopper
-14" replacement barrel
-2 pods and a harness
-extra 9 0z. tank

for an electronic hopper- revvy
barrel- 14" teardrop or CP 1 piece
pack and pods- yes you choose which one (almost always preference)
tank- get a 20oz instead of the 9 oz (will give you more shots per fill)

Electro hopper: probobly not, your not going to shoot that much that fast.
Barrel: sure, but dont go over 14" or it'll mess with your accuracy (for as much accuracy as apintballls have)
Pods: Sure, if you want, but when i play woods, i dont usually shoot over a hopper per game, but they may be usefull
extra tank: A Must, nothing kills your day like running out of air. I use a 16oz, more air than a nine ounce, but not as heavy as a 20oz, also you can put the 9oz that came with the gun into one of your empty pods incase you run out in-game.
also go to Walmart/Salvation Army/Goodwill/army surplus store and get some good camoflage ie millitary camo, hunting camo is too nice to waste paintballing, if you get army surplus thats the best because it's heavy and hard to wear out.
I'd also get something to cover your head (Mask of course) like a hat, or a bandanna (Walmart $.88) or a sandana (Google it).
You'll also want some good shoes, that you dont mind getting muddy/wet/thrashed I use old football cleats. if you want boots get combat boots because hunting boots will cut off the circulation to your feet if you stay crouched too long.
Gloves, not a must have, but they are great! Also it helps cover exposed skin, nothing ruins your camo like exposed skin.
also buy some bug spray/anti- poison ivy cream
And of course you'll need a duffle bag to store/carry it all in.
Trust me this comes from about 5 years woodsball experience.
Always bring bandages, and also something to drink, you dont want to get dehydrated, oh, and a spritz bottle of water to clean off any lens hits.
Well, that's all i can think of right now, good luck!

an extra tank isn't really neccasary since it's not gonna happen that your gonna want to change tanks during the middle of a game.(at alot of places nearme, they don't allow you to take an extra tank on the field, its a hazard.)maybe a bigger one though, if your not incredibly weak, you'll have no problem with a 20 oz, or just go for a cheap n2 tank, it won't last as long, but it will be far more consistant. i would get a 14 or 16 inch barrel though, a cp would be the best choice for a good begginer. an electro hopper isn't neccesary if you don't have and electronic gun, which which you do, so maybe a revvy or a halo tsa, unless your not gonna go all out when shooting, don't worry about it then. gloves, some kind of knee protection, and go for a 3 or 4 pod configuration, you'll be more happier if you buy the good stuff now then later so you waste less money in the long run. if you have everything you need now, just upgrade with good things slowly, to eventually a better gun, you'll have better gear that way, and it gives you more time to get experienced, before you buy a crap load of unneeded things and then realize you mistake. but yes, barrel, gloves, maybe a hopper, and a decent pack.

My gun can shoot about 12 bps on full-auto. What speed (bps) hopper do you recommend getting. Should I get 12 bps, or is 8 bps good enough.?

If your playing woodsball get a revolution if you think your gonna keep that gun. Otherwise get a really nice hopper like a halo that you can take with you to your next gun.

ive found that full auto isnt all it's cracked up to be, and you'll never learn to pull the trigger fast that way, if you ever want to go into speedball you'll need to know how to do that. Also the extra tank IS a good idea, especially since you playing woodsball, which means your probobly not at a park, which means air re-fill arent readily availiable (in general)

I will be at a park, it's just that I can't really leave the woodsball game to go back and get CO2 during the game, or by the time I come back it will already be over. So I am going to get one, but what size? 9 0z, 20 oz, or what? I'm not weak, so I don't have to worry about the weight of the tank.

well your not going to run out of air, even from a 9 ounce in just one game, but if you insist, i would go for a second nine ounce, so like renegade said, you could put it in a pod pouch. a 20 oz would probably be to big for that. i would probably buy a 20oz, use that on the gun, and have the 9oz you have for back up. when i used co2, a 20 oz could last me like, i don't know, almost the whole day, since i wasn't shooting like crazy, just go play and you'll see.

just go for a 20 ounce that way you don't have to wonder how much you have left. also if you buy used you could get things much cheaper.

i agree with these guys just get a 20 oz co2, the price diference between a 9oz and a 20 is not huge. I used to have a Piranha e force and i used a halo tsa sound activated hopper on it, it kept up pretty good, its an agitator though not a force feeder, the only time i had a problem was when i put it on full auto and held the trigger for a while, it would eventually chop a ball. geneally i like to get a hopper that can out pace the gun, i have an empire reloader b on a impulse right now, the impulse is rated at 20bps and the hopper at somthing like 23bps so i know im never gunna have a problem with a slow hopper
i would highly recomend a barrel for that gun, the stock ones are crap, go with 14in though
2 pods sounds good for as mutch paint as your gunna be shooting in a game, iv gone through 2 in a game only when it was me against everyone(when i had my Piranha)
