O Rings, etc...

How often does a gun need to be brought to a professional for fixing? Considering I'm okay with fixing but I'm not that good w/guns and the inner workings. Also, how much does it cost for the labor/parts? Thanks, it's going to help me decide which store to go to.

learning to maintain your marker is something you should learn how to do. The manuals describe how to do general basic work, like oiling and replacing o-rings and the such. Th only time you really need to bring it to an air smith is if there is a major failure of the marker.

Just read your manual over and over untill you understand the proceedures for your marker and then take your time to oil and clean it as the manual said. If you take it to an air smith every time you need to change an o-ring it will cost you mare than you paid for the marker over time.

Does the manual tell you the specific procedures for maintenance? Or does it just have a schematic of the parts?

it depends on the brand, but generally it gives a schematic of the parts AND gives general cleaning tips. and if that isn't included then theres always Youtube, or the companies website (spyder has disassembly videos for the entire marker line up )mostly if its just an O-Ring problem you can fix it pretty rapidly. im in the process of finding out how to get more O-rings that aren't from the company but i don't know if thats possible.
