New paintball gun problem
Me and my friend are new to paintball and we just go our guns in. My friend put the nitro tank on his gun then turned the pressure valve on his gun so that the pressure guage was at 250, which it said it should be at in the book. He then cocks it and turns the safety off of his gun and shoots it, but after 3 shots each time the gun looses pressure and cocks back to where it was in the first place. It does this every time and were not sure why.
We were going to go to the paintball place, but it was muddy as hell, and its a quite a ways out of the way, so I decided to ask you guys first to see if you know whats up.

Is the tank filled with air? That usually happens when its emty. Also what type of gun is having the problem, I'm guessing its a spyder by the sounds of it.

Well, you just need a new hammer (if thats the problem) but i doubt it. New hammers arnt that much. But try some other things. Make sure everything is cleaned and has good o-rings. Make sure the problem isnt in the asa or steel braid. If its a spyder, take off the foregrip(where you grab it in the front) and take off the asa (where you screw the tank in) and then screw your tank into the area where the foregrip was just screwed in. If it fires fine, then the problem isnt the steel braid or asa, but it is a bad hammer most likely if it still deosnt work after doing teh aforementioned experiment.
Also, im not sure if it matters but is the tank LP or HP?

The spyders might not be able to run on LP... but i'm not sure, Volkers we should try it.
Also I'm not sure if the Vs markers are like the other spyders in that you can take the forgrip off and put the tank on like that because I think they have a reg on the front now.... But i may be wrong.
Also, TEAM REALITY, by snare, do you mean the sear? It does sound like a sear/hammer problem. But the gun is to new for that to happen already. . .

You can take the forgrip off.
I have no idea what the tank is, but I have the same gun and the tank works with mine.
It shouldnt be dirty, because the minute he took it out of the box it didn't work, well actually it did but it only worked the first 7 shots then just completely ****ed up.
Ill have to try the grip thing tomarrow when I go over there.
Also air shoots out the side of the gun when he turns the pressure guage to allow air into the gun.

Maybe the grip frame isnt tight enough to the body.

Ok if air is shooting out the side it is a problem with the forgrip sealing to the gun.
Eaither it's just not tight enough, or you have a bad o-ring. You can get a replacement at your local shop, but because the gun is so new it's probbly under warrenty so you could always call Kingman up and tell them that another one of there spyders broke and they will probbly fix it for free than.
