No need to offer congratulations because I know about low-end markers. This isn't worth arguing about. It all comes down to choice and marker mantience. Tippmans ALWAYS work cuz you don't' need to do anything to them. Spyders need to be lubed in order to maintain good performance. I bet %90 of spyder problems are caused by them not being lubed up or an 0-ring is bad.
no not everything is a markerting scheme, but spyders are. Why haven't you seen a mr1/2 mess up? they're not old enough yet. give them time and they'll "break down" just like any other spyder.

Your probably right, but I will beleive it when I see it. And so far I have seen snipers take them through creeks and still be able to nail people.

Matrix is right on the money. The most durable marker for your money is going to be a tippmann. They Dominate the rental market because they take a lickin' and keep on tickin'. I have both a Spyder Imagine and a Tippmann A5 and The tippmann has never stopped working in the 4-5 years I have had it. Sure its not as fast a an E-Marker but there is no batteries to change or any other thing to go wrong. Just a couple of drops of oil in the asa, dry fire it a coulple of time and it lubed and ready to go. As with any marker though Maintainance is still absolutly critical. Treat it nice and it will work for you forever.

Im going to have to go with matrix on this one. Piranhas do the same thing as spyders. They change the body design a little bit, but still use all the same internals. I havent used an mr2, but i have saw one before. Never got to shoot it because it was broken....

read the stickies about tanks etc to answer your air questions about co2
Spyders and tippmand are some of the few markers that will work on c02 (even the electro ones)

The only major difference I can think of between N2 and CO2 is that N2 provides a more consistent shot. In other words, your shots will always be the same velocity and range unlike with a CO2. But this problem can be cured with a low pressure kit which and range from 19.95to 49.95 depending on the product maker.

The cyclone feed does not use up extra gas, that is a myth. It uses excess gas that would otherwise be wasted.
One would think you would know this seeing as you "have a family member who works for them." How odd.
I find it especially funny how you hate on a gun that is made by the same company that made yours, and supposedly that one of your relatives works at. It's almost like Impulse owners hating the Ion... except a lot dumber.

Ok once again I have to prove myself. Two brand new filled twenty oz CO2s, one was put on a stock M98 by a teammate of mine, and another on a A5. M98 gets 1017 shots. A5 gets 932. TESTED AT TIPPMANN PNEUMATICS LAB! Now jesus leave me alone and quit debating my posts.
And I am not saying the A5 is a bad gun nor am I putting a bad name to it. I love all Tippmanns. BUT there are facts to every gun out there.

Proof of this testing the the tippman lab. you're a new member with no street credit and you come in here saying all sorts of stuff; how are we to believe you? that's a 100 shot difference; any little thing could cause that fluctuation. I'm gonna blame the fact that without a regulator there's no efficient way to get a good number on efficiency. Springs don't act the same every time and each shot is different. you can't possibly test it like that. I'd like to see raw numbers and not just one test firing of each marker before i believe it. Go through 15 or 20 tanks on each one with regulated air down to 4-5 FPS and then come talk to me about it.

your right and i dont expect you to believe me, matter of fact if i were you, id be the same way. i dont have street credit (not that were on a street??) nor do you have any cause to believe anything i say. i will provide raw numbers because you are most definitly right in what you say. i may be wrong, but ill provide raw #s tomorrow. ill have to ask for them over a tele so i gotta wait till mornin.

Actually his reasoning is a bit off this time. How do you think air is regulated? Springs... take apart any reg and you'll find at least one spring, or a stack of shims that serves the same purpose. Regulators are essentially just valves.
He is right though, that without using HPA and preferably a regulator mounted on the gun, those numbers do not mean much, whether or not they came from the "TIPPMANN PNEUMATICS LAB!" Not to mention you did not say whether the two markers where chronographed at the same speed, and since this was done with co2, whether or not they were shot at the same speed. Particularly with co2, the efficiency will change the faster you shoot.
And no, I will not leave you alone, so long as I believe your info is wrong, lest you spread misinformation to those who don't know any better.
