newbie question

first let me say hi, first post, im new to this paintball stuff and im an older dude, but i think its freakin a great sport, is it normal to have your paint not splat when it hits you or other things like trees and stuff? that dang paint hurts when it dont break, or am i useing cheap paint? i shoot a tippman 98C pro, can you suggest some good brands of paint for woodsball

i just get the cheap stuff like zap, monsterballs, or hotspot. they work great in my flatline barrel and they break 95% of the time

If you want some nicer stuff, go with something like Xball bronze (little cheaper) or if you want the nicest, kill-everything-break-on-everything paint then go with Xball gold. The best paint i think for you would be something like Blaze paint.

Otherwise get rec sport and try to buy from a paintball pro-shop. Pro-shops get their paint fresh so it breaks a lot easier and shoots a lot straighter. Big companys like wal mart and fleet farm keep paint in a warehouse and on shelves for a year or more so the paint goes bad and shoots like ****.
