I would rent pods, we usualy suggest them at the field for rental groups, and they are by far the most asked for things we rent next to guns/masks.

Don't worry about bundling up (unless its cold out of course) paintballs don't hurt as much as people say, just wear comfortable cloths you don't mind getting dirty and your golden

enjoy your first game..

clothing:: i'd suggest wear a hoodie and a pair of jeans you can comfortably run and move with..and wear shoes with rubber cleats or one with good traction...

the hits don't hurt but they do sting...

rent a couple of pods (2 perhaps)..

and don't forget to drink between games..you'd be surprised at how dehydrated you can be at the end of the day if you don't ..

as to tactics :: just stay alert, listen and talk to your teammates, keep your elbows in when you're playing...AND BY ALL MEANS KEEP YOUR MASK ON!!

enjoy and take pics...you'll thank yourself later for keeping records of your first game..

HAHAHAHAHAHA hoodies.....

Look man, I ref in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt.....I play in the same thing about 90% of the time, but add some cheap redz fore-arm pads and a pair of cutup batting gloves...... don't worry about bundling up, it's still going to hurt and your going to be hot and miserable to boot.

Don't waste time with thick cloths. If you are afraid of the paintball hitting you don't play the sport. "Pain is weakness leaving the body". I play in a pair of redz pants and a tee shirt. Gloves are sometimes nice but not always needed. If you are playing anywhere there might be water you stick your hand in then i wouldn't get gloves. As for pods yeah get a couple, if you don't find your self going through your hopper in a game then you can always leave it behind for another game.
