Rate This: Pmr (proto Matrix Rail)
Ok, so, i am very new to paintball. I have never had or used a paintball gun for more than a day. I have researched alot about them and i know a ton.
I am willing to spend a good amount of money. I went to a shop today and saw the PMR and it felt, and looked good. I have watched vids and it looks like a fast and accurate gun for $399.99.
Should i get this gun?

You might want to shop around a bit before you buy cause it seems a bit high

Buy used. You can get a PMR for 300. A tank for 100. A hopper for 50. A pack for 20.

Good choice on the PMR.
But, theres no reason to buy a new gun. You should either get a used PMR for a lot cheaper(check pbnation and ebay), or get a nicer used gun for the same price(shocker, dm5, pm6, timmies, etc).

ya used will save u some $$ so u can actually play with the thing...and if you aren't playing pro tourny style than get a cheap steely 3k PSI tank for $50 brand new. u wont fire more than that in one game unless you have like 6 cases to blow which..in an open game sense you wouldn't have.
but a used PMR, can go for $300..and is Pre-upped ( UL Frame...well don't really know if it needs it, Feedneck Trigger ASA ect )
But i would actually shoot a PMR,like in a playing situation and if you like it, get it. Markers are really player preference to feel and sound or whatever you like. JT sells good packs for like $30 or less on Actionvillage.com i use a yellow JT pack and have had now for over 6 months and its worked flawlessly.

PMRs are NOT good guns for beginners they are hard to maintain and you have to be very carefull with them (alot of plastiic parts- no offense).

They are pretty nice for the price except:
Right away they need:
Backcaps get stipped
Trigger feels like **** because its polymer but it shoots ok
Feedneck is polymer
Barrel need to be replaced (not as accurate as my stock mini
They kick a lot
they are loud
