what gun =s?
ok so ive played paintball around 8 times (woodsball) using friends guns and then i went to play speedball last week and it was soooo much fun... so i was wondering, what gun should i get? i was thinking the ion but then i thought no because it has no re-sale value for all of the money id put into it. and would it be bad if i just went straight out and bought a gun for around 500-650 or so maybe or pm6 or an ego 06 if i can get one cheap. also whats diff. with a pm6 and a dm6. and an ego and an etek ego

PM6 or EGO Etek, vlocity Jr, and a 68 4500 tank. That would make a very nice setup

i think the difference between an ETek and an Ego is that the ETek doesnt have QEV's, uses a microswitch and it uses LEDs unlike the Ego which uses an LCD and has QEV's which makes it more air effecient
EDIT: Also the weight, body, and milling are different between the two

Meh, a lot of people on PBnation dont know jack. Some of them know a ton but some dont. The PM series has more difficult (on average) and more constant maintenance. However, the Ego, while easy to clean and relube, can have some hard problems to fix. I got a PM6, bu ti think i may have learned how to take care of it from owning an Ion, and i learned a lot about how to take care of my Ion from owning a spyder, etc. Its all a big learning process. I would study up on the way each marker works and see what you want and what sounds like it fits you. Hang around in the marker forums on Pbnation and you will see what common problems come by. Also read there stickys and from that you can get a good idea of what each gun is like. There are videos of every gun bean taken apart and stuff like that so you should be able to learn anything you want to know about that gun. I would suggest looking in the pbf forums but they dont get as much turnover as the pbnation ones so i would go there first.

yeah, i was thinking about getting a pmr since it is more of a starter gun and they seem to be very reliable.

Then let me make a few suggestions. Really the only problem is the feedneck may be a lil weak so maybe get a new one soon. Try out the trigger and if you dont like it replace it. Take the back cap and look to see if there is lube on the threads. If there is clean it off (if you dont it may start to unscrew) and screw it back in. Make sure not to cross thread the backcap cause apparently its pretty easy.
The PMR is great. I have a friend who has one and its super quiet and gets awesome gas efficiency for a PM (even though it does have a different operating system)

First off- I had an Ion for about a year i had a few upgrades spent bout 300 on it and i sold it online for 330. If youve only played 8 times getting an ego,etek,pm6,dm6 is way to big of a jump. So i suggest keeping it between an ION or a PMR, both good guns for the experience level. also you can use those guns for some of the tourneys. IONs are very upgradable if you buy a virtue board (100$) you can shoot as fast as many of those guns for alot cheaper and less work. any way sorry if i offended you. go with one of those guns.
