First timer

Went for my first time yesterday on a small speed ball course, and i must say i loved every minute of it!! I was so pumped that i didn't even realized a couple of times that i had been hit.

Now the question comes, do i fund my new addiction and shell out the money to continue playing, (ie. marker, gear, etc) or just wait it out and rent a few more times and see if I want to stick with?

I am keeping debt card contained in my wallet, (it's hard ) while looking at gear and such, and finding places to talk about it (here).

i have no doubt that you will stick with it, but just in case, go a few more times. i was the same way when i first started. i had to buy a marker immedietly and almost 3 months after i ended up getting another, and so on. so rent a few more time to make sure because, from experience, the more you get into it, the more your money goes out the drain. i have no regrets however. just make sure your first marker is a good reliable one that you can upgrade a little so you don't have to keep getting a new one to start with.

Never buy a gun after your first time balling, too many kids make this mistake.

Go a few more times, see if you are really wanting to stick with it, RESEARCH gear online to see if you are capable of the prices paintball demands, then make your decision.

Don'T forget : in your budget you'll have to buy at least a mask and a tank. So if you have 250 to spend, don't buy a 250 $ on a marker...

Actually it is more important to have a great mask than a great marker. Even if you have a 1400 $ DM7, you will not able to shoot it if you can't see in front of you...

QFT. The place I went paintballing last week let me borrow one of their rental masks, but they were so crappy that I ended up getting a $40 dollar mask. I instantly became better at playing.
