Full gun and pistol or pistol that converts to full gun?

I have spent the day looking at different guns available and have come to the conclusion that I either want to get:

A T68 with the accessories to make it a either full gun or a pistol.
A pistol and a normal gun.

I don't know which I should go with anyone have any opinions?

they don't exist, trust me. you do not want a pistol.

I really think you need to go play airsoft instead.

I agree with matrix that you might enjoy airsoft more. One of my roommates is the VP(or is about to become rather) for the Texas A&M arisoft organization, and the other is the practice officer. If you would like to talk to someone about it, mike has played both airsoft and pb for many years and could probably help you make a decision based on experience from someone who has played tournament paintball AND large scale AS ops.

The tiberius Tac-8 is a cool little gun, but it's a novelty as much as anything. I can tell you from playing Stock class pump thatt the clip the have is not going to last longe enough for you to be happy with it. A SC phantom autotriggering empties a 20 in the blink of an eye, think about what a true semi in a firefight will do. The conversion simply adds on a stock and a foregrip to make it more rifle-ish, and stocks are primarily useless.

I wish people would realise that, with a mask on you CANNOT get down tight enough on a rifle stock to use iron sights or a traditioanl scope, even if paintballs were accurate enough to take advantage of them.

I use a TAG8, I use it quite frequently. I've gone many a scenario using Just the TAG8. I carry 1 extra clip on the belt and one in the pistol.

If you use it right it can be a lot of fun. The TAG9 has the stuff to make it a full marker. I've seen a few people with it, even shot one. Pretty bad ass. Expensive, but bad ass.

I like the TAG8, I'm ok with the TAG9.

Once again it really boils down to preference. I prefer the TAG8 over my other pistols (and I've shot quite a few) and I use it as a sidearm.

Start with a normal gun and if you want to get a pistol go ahead and get one. Discover your style of play first though.

Are you referring to the Tiberius arms "tac"8? It's not tag it's "tac" unless I'm very much mistaken.

It went through both names, there's actually quite a bit of ambiguity on which it actually is. I remember when he (the owner/designer I forget his first name) was in the production phase it was the TAG, and when selling I've seen it as TAC. I checked their site and am only seeing Tiberius 8 as apposed to TAG or TAC. Either way, same pistol.

Originally it was TAG for Tiberius Arms Group, but I'm not sure anymore.

Cool, I learned something new. I was more interested whether we were discussing the same gun than anything else...
