I'd stay away from the icon an mongoose brand. they've got quality control issues.
look at a spyder or piranha instead.
those goggles look a bit cheap. Make sure they have foam on the inside, not just plastic.

Holy cow, A mech Icon-X starter pack at 200$ US is insane....
Try talking to one of the US retailers about VAT and shipping....might be cheaper.
For our friends not familiar- the British pound is typically equal to 2.00$ US, so ninety quid is about 180-200$

I always thought a pound was pretty close to the dollar.

This is your best bet for a good starter marker that will last you unless you get seriously into playing tourneys and feel the need to upgrade: Kingman VS1 Starter Paintball Gun Package - Blue at ActionVillage.com : Paintball
Great gun, only recommended upgrade is to get a feedneck for it, I think NDZ is making a nice one.

Yes, but I've heard they previously had problems with ball detents on MR2s. Go for it if you love the mil-sim, but if you want more performance for the price, then stick with the VS1. The only MR comparable to VS1 is the Mr3, because it have eyes, but it is like 100$ more expensive.
Mil-sim in paintball has a cost...

mil-sim is pointless unless you just want the look. You CANNOT aim properly down a stocked gun with a mask on. I've tried it with the fully decked out, stocked, foregripped, fully "milsim"ed A-5s.....it just does not work, and thats wearing a pair of really flexible goggles (older flexes with the soft bottom.....whatever number that is I dont remember)
The VS1 is a much better buy.

I wish that my wife would have asked me about purchasing a gun before she got me one for Christmas last year. I love my gun, but the VS1 would have been sweet.
