New to Paintball & Forum
I was over on PbNation - Paintball's Home Page for about a month and realized that they really didn't have any general discussion forums and needed something different. I'm hoping to meet some cool people to help me out with my paintballing and maybe even catch some games. I live in Roanoke, VA and there isn't any fields (to my knowledge) close to me except maybe 1 in Salem (but I think it may have closed down). I'm 25 and recently married. My wife is a cool one though because she buys me all my toys before I have a chance to purchase them myself. I was given my marker as a gift for Christmas. I haven't gotten a chance to play yet 1. because I haven't had to gun it was being toyed with by my cuz 2. my wifes brother/friends are always making excusses about why they can't play " X " weekend. I'm looking for some people that might go play on a regular basis around Roanoke (or surrounding areas) to go play a few weekends.
I look forward to learning and playing as much as I can and hopefully make some new friends along the way.
 Chris

I'm sure that I will as soon as I can actually start playing and meet some cool people. There are some awsome woodball spots around my area if I can just get some people that want to play.

Hey, and welcome to our addiction!!!! Try the Regional Players Forum, under the General Misc. heading. That should get you in touch with some people in your area. I hope you find good players and enjoy the sport.

Thanks for the info. I'll head over there in a few for sure. I want to look around and find some deals on a few things so I'm better prepared for some games. I'm sure that has to be some nice people somewhere around my area. One can hope anyways.

Welcome to PBF!
Here at PBF you’ll find we tend to be friendlier then PBN, but we are however smaller. We have a loyal base of members that can be extremely helpful, and they’re fun to harass at the same time. *cough Alpha*
All you have to do is follow the rules and you’ll be good. If you don’t follow the rules, I’ll have Dean sit on you. That’s far worse than any punishment I could deal out.

Follow Rules ... Check
Watch out for Dean ... Check
Thanks for the Welcome ... I'm usually a lurker/slow poster when new to a forum until I read up and understand just about everything clearly. So, there shouldn't be anyone sitting on me anytime soon ... I hope!

dean's not a mean guy whatsoever, but he's not scared to use the ban hammer either.

1 Question : Do you have to be a contributing member in order to get one of the Spyder Owners Group sigs?

I've been message boards since I was driving and fixing up my many Toyota pickups and have yet to be banned. I will definately stay as far away as possible from "The Ban Hammer"

This is going to sound strange but is it worth it to upgrade my Pilot with the few mods that I've listed? Would it be good for woodsball and maybe rookie level stuff on a field? I haven't ordered them yet but was planning on it as soon as I get my marker back next week. Would it be better to buy a VS1 or something a little better? or is my gun perfect for a weekend warrior just starting out?
I would feel bad selling it because Amanda bought it for me, but I just wantto make sure I'll be able to perform well against other players that might have more expensive or slightly whatever type of markers and setups.

I posted and I'm number 242 ... where are the sig pics? I don't know how to make a sig. I figured there were some to choose from in a gallery or something.

I just made my first sig ever ... not bad for a quick 5 minute job. I'll figure out how to do it better later.
