upped ion or dp fusion ?

I'm lookin to pick up either a...

- stock DP fusion or for the same money
- an Ion and put in a new bolt, reg, q lock, qev and a trigger.

Of the 2 options which would you choose and why ? I'm looking mainly for accuracy, consistancy and quiet ( as I currently own a 98 c e grip and its LOUD ! )

Thanks in advance.

The dp fusion is the better choice IMO. Better platform, better build quality from what I've seen.

In that price range, you might want to hold off until after cup and see what the price on things like proto 6s and dm 6s do....they PROBABLY will take a hardcore header into the toilet. Timmies will as well I'm sure, as will the G7 series angels(again......best gun WDP has ever had out, and people are selling them for 350-400....it's retarded...), the shockers, and most any other gun that has a "new" model coming out for '08(ie they changed two things and want 1400$ for it....)

Yea, the DP fusion is a much better gun. It wont be as quite as the Ion, but still it will be quiet enough. Plus its much faster, just as light, and has much easier maintenance.

I know the fusion is set at aprox 250 psi where with the upps on the ion would probably run around 160 ish psi what difference would that make in shooting accuracy ? Reason I'm asking is because with my tippmann i'm finding the balls winging left and right after the 1st shot (using a JJ ceramics barrel) and was told that its becausr the PSI in the marker is around 750. Is that the reason and if so is the 90 psi difference in the fusion and the ion enough to make some of the shots hook ?

Sorry is these seem like stupid questions.

Your paint is going crazy because of a bad paint match and a dirty barrel, NOT the operating pressure of the gun

Operating pressure does not affect accuracy at all, just like open/closed, low blow, sweep, or whatever other gimmick they want to talk about. There should be no accuracy difference in the ion and the fusion.

Thanks.. Only reason I brought that up was because my local PB store said it was because my tippmann runs at a higher pressure thus hitting the ball at a higher thrust thus denting the ball, making it hook.
