about 400-500, I'm wondering... a rookie three man team, all pilots, 2 with halos and 1 with a egg3 hopper, adjusted triggers xD, and java feednecks can compete, or like make third. All the way to sixith they have like a three halo b prize, so even if we come in like a bad spot we will still get something. And We can use that money to get Ions.

500 dollars leaves you some room to play with. First off I'd pick up a used reloader b and a 68/45 off pbnation. With the remaining money (300+) I'd look at mini's, maybe a very nicely upgraded ion. PM5's are another option. Just look around the nation, there's tons of options.

:O, now more of like 200-300 to work with. I might stick with getting a Ion for now, that should be good enough to play rookie tournaments with, shouldn't it? I'll be playing other rookies so I won't need a super, duber, uber, pimped out shocker NXT or something. I'm not to sure to go where to go after I get the Ion, thinking of going for a shocker or mini or something xD.

You'll get spanked at rookie tourneys, especially just starting. I cannot stand ions, whatsoever. I had one for a while with some of the nicest upgrades it can have and I still hated it.

Do what you want, you'll figure it all out on your own like everybody else sooner or later.

VS2, hands down. The shoot JUST AS FAST, and with only marginally more recoil, than the ion, and don't break every week or two. I have never(and I've spent HOURS working on many different ones in the last three weeks.....we've had a huge influx of new ones at the field lately)seen a gun so poorly designed and so shoddily built in my life. The noid is utter garbage, the hosing system is ridiculous, and the overall build quality ranks somewere between mediocre and trash. When they're working, they shoot ok. When they're not, they're nineteen kinds of PITA. Only gun I've ever seen that tends to leak if you tighten the grip frame screws down tight enough to keep them from worming out(three guns doing this in a week......and it's not just my fault, other gun techs with more experience on them than me are having the same problems.....). It was a great idea, but run. If you just CAN'T stomach the spyder, save abit more for a used mini or fusion....



But drop the egg and either get a Vlocity JR or an eye-force. Eggs are garbage(especially when you consider the price vs. the much better vlocity.....

My Teammate sounds just like you xD, He keeps telling me to get the VS2. He s like, "It's like 30 bucks cheaper then Ion, You don't have to spend $100 to make it super duper, the stock is not bad, and The Ion Breaks down too easy!, ect, ect."

i would definetly go with the vs2. the ions break down alot more than expected. dont get the egg3 either.
