Need help finding parts for a Raven Primal...

So I'm planning on getting into paintball (playing on a regular basis). I bought a Raven Primal brand new. The only accessories I've purchased so far are:
- Kingman Java 48/3000 Aluminum HPA Tank
- Kingman Fasta LED 18v Paintball Loader

It seemed like a decent HPA tank and I read good things about the hopper as well.

Here is what I plan on buying this week:
- Barrrel Set (probably Freak)
- Scenario Dreams VerC T-board (see here)
- Clamping feedneck
- New drop forward
- Grips

I'm having trouble locating any other upgrades for this gun. Does anyone know where I can find any of the following things:
- Trigger upgrade
- Regulator
- Bolt

Also, anything else I should think about picking up? I'm not really concerned with the cost of the parts (although, please no comments like "you should buy a better gun with the money"). I'm pretty set on keeping this marker and upgrading it. I'm just new to this and need help finding some of these other parts that are compatible with this marker.

I'd also appreciate any input on some of the other parts I'm planning on buying... ie. recommendations for brands.

Thanks!

Any regulator for any marker should fit on yours.

don't bother with a drop forward unless you absolutely can not stand a normal ASA, they mess up your stance badly.
don't get a freak barrel either, it's a cheap excuse for a barrel kit. you're better off with a one piece CP or J&J barrel. If you want to buy a barrel kit, look elsewhere.(like empire, reds, etc)

DEFINITELY look into getting a high-flowing valve. There's some crazy people out there who have also modified their strikers to be lightweight to reduce kick.

I believe that CP makes triggers and maybe Fireball Mountain as well.

Pick up any delrin bolt you can find for cheap. if it's already got a delrin bolt, don't worry about getting a new one.

How do you like your fasfa loader? ever since it came out I've been wanting to ask somebody who has actually used one. does it really feed at 18 bps?

Thanks for the regulator advice... any specific regulators you'd recommend?

I might try a drop forward and see how I like it. I haven't made it out to try the gun out yet.

As for the barrels... I was under the impression that a Freak barrel set was good. Isn't a set better than a single barrel so you can actually match a barrel diameter to the paint?

I know NOTHING about valves. I don't even know where to start with that.

I may have found a trigger and switch by SPPS.

Also, the Primal comes with a delrin bolt stock. I thought an ACS bolt would be better... but maybe not since this marker already has eyes.

Finally... again, I haven't tried this setup out yet... so I can't really tell you how the Fasta works. It's the 18v model that claims it's capable of 30+ bps... so once I get the T-board that supposedly allows for 36bps, we'll see how it performs.

Evil detanator regs are selling for really cheap and they're pretty decent.
sidewinder regs are the absolute best, but aren't cheap
CP regs are plentiful. heck i bought one new for $65 from my local shop and then found one for $25 shipped that was slightly used.

no need for an ACS bolt since you've got eyes.

I've always been skeptical about barrel kits. the way i see it, if you're putting that much force of a gelatin ball, it's going to expand to the size of the barrel no matter what.

I know the torpedo valve is a good one, but i'm unsure if there's been any more made since i stopped looking for spyder parts 2-ish years ago.

Wouldn't worry to much about a valve.....

As far as a reg, I'm a big fan of macdev gladiators. I don't like the CP regs at all, there kind of shisty IMO.

Barrel kits are kind of fifty fifty....I wouldn't worry about it on an open bolt gun(now closed bolt theres a defenant reasoning behind them..). Barrel upgrade are essentially cosmetic anyway.....

Well I made a few purchases over the weekend.

- Scenario Dreams VerC T-Board
- CP Classic 14" Barrel (.689 diameter)
- Dye Sticky 3 Grip
- CCM No Rise Feedneck

Should be a decent start. I've decided that a bolt isn't necessary as the Primal comes with a delrin bolt stock. I'll wait on the regulator and drop forward until I get to the field and try it out. I'm sure I'll end up getting a regulator after I see how consistent it is. The drop forward will be decided upon after I see how I like the balance and everything on the field.

Thanks for the help everyone.

PS. Waiting on the trigger until I talk to a Kingman tech. I'm pretty sure I found an SPPS trigger with magnetic return that will fit. Supposedly their triggers are decent. No side-to-side play and a comfortable design that makes it easy to walk. The magnetic return seems like it would be pretty consistent as well. I hope they fit.

the usefullness of the board is debatable, but the rest of that is a very good purchase, especially thinking to upgrade the feedneck with a QUALITY unit.
