I was wondering what barrel lengths are good for like the backman, centerman, and frontman?

yeah.
front player generalyl like small barrels so they can play tight and not have to worry about wacking it onthe ground or other bunkers.

but past that, it's open to whatever.

Thanks xD, I thought the frontman would have a barrel like that or something. For the back man, is the 16" noticeably slower then the 12"?

No, not at all.. It just gives you more play with your bunker, but could possibly get in the way if you're diving into the snake or just for general awkwardness purposes.
