Not to be rude, but I'm kinda having a difficult time reading it . Anyway I do know the answer to your third question. Yes it is damaging to your gun when you shoot with only Co2 or HPA in it. And for your second question, I recomend the J&J Ceramic barrel, or the Smartparts Linear, Teardrop, or Progressive.
No, it is not causing damage when shooting without paintballs. It is the very same thing than shooting with paintballs, but alot louder.
Barrel : check for J&J ceramic : thoses can be found for pretty cheap and they are pretty accurate.
Trigger : is your icon X a mech ? If so you can't tweak the trigger that much. It is possible, it is not really worth it, it won't make a big difference. If it's electronic, then it would be easy to shorten the trigger, which can help to shoot faster.

You weren't rude, just a little ignorant. Shooting with CO2, or HPA and no paint will do no damage what-so-ever to the marker. Dry firing on the other hand (shooting with no gas or paint) can cause minor damage to the bolt and the chamber. Check out J&J Ceramic for a barrel. They make quality goods for a low price.
