Drop Forward Question

While looking up some paintball pics/videos of my marker I came across something I would like to have on my marker. The person was using this Custom Products Flame Drop Forward - Black at ActionVillage.com : Paintball and I like the placement of the tank with this on the marker.

My question : Do I need to purrchase or mod anything to make this drop forward work on my marker. He was still using the stock tank attachment but wasn't sure about the hose.

Thanks in Advanced

drop forwards aren't exactly liked much around this forum. They encourage bad form when shooting because your reach is much higher, making the marker taller and giving people the ability to shoot at your hopper much easier.

But to answer your question: assuming it has the diagonal holes that spyders do, than yes it will fit. The drop there is only 2 inches. so you can measure your drop to see the length. Chances are, it won't exactly be stronger, drops don't come with varying strengths

I was unaware they make for bad form. The person shooting the marker looked to have good form. The hopper was right even with his head as I've seen many people shoot. Why would it make the marker taller? The tank is still below the marker same as with a stock drop. Can you or some explain more into detail pros/cons of Drop Forwards?

since the tank is lower, the marker will sit higher when you shoulder your tank.
I find them really uncomfortable.

I was thinking about purchasing a different drop anyways. I don't need any kind of ASA with an on/off because my CO2 tanks have them on there, but I would like one that is slightly " down angled ". I don't know if I want one that's for say a drop forward, but one that might be a little shorter or like I said down angled. Thanks.
