I'M NEW TO THE FORUM BUT NOT TO THE SPORT...

Alright guys i've been out of paintball for a little and want to start to get back in it...

PLEASE DON'T QUOTE SOMEONE TRYING TO TELL THEM WRONG JUST GIVE ME YOUR OPINION.

I'm currently looking to upgrade marker. I've been looking at the Proto Rail 07, or the Smart parts Epiphany...

Which of those would be the better choice?

also as far as N2 tanks which size/brand/psi should i get?

Also if you guys have recommendations for either of these let me know...

I would get the dangerous power fusion. Its light, fast, super air efficient, solid and has very easy maintenece. A vlocity hopper and a CP 48/45 tank would make it a very light and very nice setup. If you want to get a lil bigger tank the CP 68/45 is great. THe CP tanks are nice and light and have great regulators and are made very solid.

Tank brand is largely irrelevant, I think. Definitely spring for a carbon 4500 psi model, and either 68 ci or 45 ci should suit you fine. Out of the PMR and the Epiphany, I like the PMR, and any force feed loader should do you just fine.

If you are looking for a good marker in that price range don't forget to look at the Invert Mini. I tried both the PMR and the Mini side by side at the time of purchase and chose the Mini. Its light, fast and small. I use the Crossfire 69/4500. It has an excellent recharge rate.

I have an epiphany and it's great. Also got it for $300. It's fast, very smooth, and very accurate.

I also have a dxs 68/4500 that's light and works great

The epiphany is an ion with a different body on it.....

Look into a used PM(not the rail), or DM, a shocker, or anyof a number of other guns available for 300$ or so used.....you'll regret wasting the money on a brand new gun.
