Where to start getting serious

I've been playing for about 5 years in the Central Texas area. I'm not bad but I've just recently wanted to really pick up the sport. for example join a team or something. its usually just my buds playing at his field or at the local paint ball shops. I was just wandering whats the best way to actually get started. Experiance isn't really a problem for me, just where do I start? How would I find a team to start on, or start our own. any suggestions would help. I just started to actually look into finding people instead of just playing for fun with close people I know. Also, if anyone is in the Central Texas area (Temple/Waco area) PM me and lets get together and play some games =)

Thx, any feedback would help

best thing to do is find where the tournament ballers will go and scrimmage each others teams. Usually it's on a sunday and is more of a pickup game style then an organized scrim. That will get you introduced a little into the scene and not only help you improve your game but be your source of info on teams and tournaments.

Try PBNation, I came here as a refugee because almost everybody there is unbearably stupid, but they have a very large user base and if you post in the regional forums you'll probably have luck finding a team.

If you would like to make the trek to the field in CS one weekend, let me know before you come. Sunday's will see the A&M team, and our local teams, out practicing and might be the day you want to come jump in
