Auto? Automatic? No field allows full automatic as far as I know, and Tippman 98's are only semi-automatic as they are non-electronic. Yes, you can use CO2 on an Ion although it's recommended you use HPA, and if you do use CO2 it's strongly recommended you use an anti-siphon tank.

Yes, you can upgrade it to make it electronic which includes a full automatic mode. The regular 98c is fully mechanical though, which is what I thought you were talking about.
I personally wouldn't bother with an E-Tippmann, if I were to get a Tippmann it would be because of it's near-indestructibility. Making it electronic sort of takes that away. That's just me though...

^^ no it's really not. Are you on a post padding mission tonight? You realize that's going to get at least an infraction from one of the mods who watches this forum...
The RT trigger will occasionally give you a burst effect, and tuned right makes fanning a whole lot easier...

If your looking for an electronic marker for under 150$ i'd recommend looking into reviews on the Spyder Pilot ACS

I wouldn't. If you go for a Spyder for under $150, I'd suggest the VS1. For a little more the VS2 would be even better, although you can't really use CO2 with it.

what do yall think? A stock vs1 or syder imagine with these ups..It's Olive Green and has the back part milled off.
Trinity feedneck
newest t-boarded frame
Stryker or J&J Barrel
Bob long power reg
extra expansion chamber and botom line (hose isnt long enough for the reg, you may need a 9 inch hose)
Uped spring
Delrin antichop bolt and venturi-less stock bolt
Trigger mod so it is much more sensitive

btw the RT is far from full auto. just get a vs1 if it has auto(though fields don't allow it so it is virtually useless) or an imagine.

All those modes on a Spyder such as 3-round burst are illegal at about 95% of fields, which makes it worthless. Just get a VS1.

the Response Trigger can go full auto, but you need to find the sweet spot. Anyway don't waste your money on full auto all your doing is shooting out paint and we all now that paint=$$$$.

It's not a matter of tournament rules, it's a matter of insurance. Unless you plan on playing at a field with no insurance that doesn't give a **** what their customers do... in which case, I'd go ahead and get some good health insurance for yourself.

own as in your own field? if so ,i'd also like to recommend a chronograph , to insure that your markers are shooting below 300 fps, for safety precautions.

Then the health insurance comment still stands.
